History Under Every Stone

The one thing about Rome is how the history is everywhere no matter where you look. If there were more time one could possibly see it all but it would require a month and a tight schedule. We literaly flew through the Vatican and came to a crawl inside St. Peters Basilica. I wanted to see the Raphael paintings and the sculptures and the map room in the Vatican Museum. It is good to have a guide but the second visit should be on one’s own in order to see the countless treasures.
