Jericho Ducks in Rome

I spotted a line of Jericho ducks in Rome today. They normally don’t migrate this far but today was a special case. It rained almost non-stop until we left. Everything was soaked: jackets, shoes, socks, shirts, slacks, and even our feathers. The good thing about rain in Rome is eating gelato sin a pizzeria and gelato store next to the Trevi Fountain where one can slightly dry out while waiting for the bus. But everything is tutto bene because it is Rome. No worries. There is pizza and stores all around. And don’t forget the gelato.

The best way to dry out wet shoes is to stuff the toe end with paper. The paper will soak up the moisture and help dry out your shoes. The next morning my soaked shoes were dry.
